First released in Los Angeles in 1998,\u00a0dArt International<\/em> magazine began by covering contemporary art in New York, Los Angeles, and\u00a0Toronto. The inspiration for the magazine came from Steve Rockwell’s 1995 narrative\u00a0performance piece Meditations on Space<\/em>, that consisted of 175 visits\u00a0to art galleries in Switzerland, France, the United States, and\u00a0Canada. Other works that have a conceptual basis are Color Match Game<\/em>,\u00a0The Steve Rockwell Sandwich<\/em> and dArt Burger<\/em>. Color Match<\/em> games\u00a0continue to be played in tournaments across North America.
